Let me introduce myself.
My name is Eleni Papanicolaou and I was born and raised
in Athens, Greece. I’m fluent in English, French and Greek.
I studied French Literature at the French Institute in
Athens, Greece as well as Computer Science at
“John Abbott” College in Montreal, Canada.
Going through my teenage years and for a long time
after, I suffered from a severe case of cystic acne.
This painful experience motivated me to study skin in depth,
as well as the effects of nutrition and exercise, to keeping a
healthy skin and slow down the aging process.
In 1979 I moved to Montreal, Canada where I studied “Comprehensive Skin Care” and graduated from the International School of Esthetics “Edith Serei”. My career in Skin Care started the same year, when I opened my own practice, at the same time, teaching Skin Care & Professional Make-up at the International school “Edith Serei”.
During my 30 years of practice, I continued my education in different sectors related to skin care, including nutrition, massage therapy, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, stem cell therapy, cold light therapy, ultrasonic exfoliation and product infusion, etc.
I strongly believe “good skin starts from within”. I also believe that it is much easier to maintain a healthy skin instead of repairing a damaged skin.
In 1999 I, moved to Florida USA, where I continued my career as a Skin Care Specialist and business owner. I also worked at a Dermatology Clinic under Medical supervision.
I was awarded the Silver Star from the Ukrainian Rescue Service and the Grand Cross of Grace from the Order of St John of Jerusalem, Knights of Malta, for our humanitarian work. Along with my late husband Mark we gathered and shipped medical supplies to countries in need. I continue on the same path leaning over any human being that is in need for help.
I decided to write this book with the idea in mind to helping people better understand the structure, function and care of their skin.
